EPILEPSY ACTION MAGAZINE

Filed under: Articles, Book cover design, Charity, New Work, case studies — GilesCooke @ 1:04 pm

I have recently designed a magazine called Take Action for Epilepsy Action. The 8 page mailer was targeted at specific markets to 1. Raise awareness, and 2. Improve donation rates for the charity. Epilepsy Action were delighted with Take Action, and the roll out will be throughout the spring and summer of 2010. The creative is designed to be like a magazine aimed at women between 30 – 50 and is already getting a good response.

Chickens Mules and two old fools

book-chickens-copy

Just had an email from Victoria Twead saying that her book is now available in all good book stores including Harrods:

Hello Giles,

Just to let you know that ‘Chickens’ is finally released, selling well (it’s even in Harrods) and that the cover looks fabulous!

‘Chickens’ is available online now from Amazon, WH Smith, Barnes and Noble, Waterstones and direct from my website. Then I got a surprise. Waterstones in Harrods, London, have ordered some copies. How exciting is that? Just to put icing on the cake, ‘Chickens’ sold out in the first few days on Amazon.UK and I’ve had some excellent reviews. I can hardly believe it’s all really happening…

Robin Bayley – The Mango Orchard

This is the cover of a new book I have designed for my good friend Robin Bayley, and his journey in search of his Great Grandfather who lived in Mexico before the revolution. It is all true, and pretty unbelievable. He also featured on the John Peel Radio 4 show home truths a few years ago about this trip. It’s a great tale and will be published by Random House/Preface early 2010.
